San Diego Pool Tile Cleaning has been restoring pool tile, coping and natural stone across San Diego County since 2012. Our California Contractor’s License, #975033 in the C-61/D38 Sand and Water Blasting classification, is verifiable through the Contractors State License Board.
Tile and stone restoration is all we do. We do not service pool equipment, balance chemistry, or handle weekly maintenance. The crew at your pool has done this specific work every day for over fourteen years.
Every Surface Gets Its Own Setting
Glass tile takes the finest media we have, at the lowest pressure. Scratches on glass are permanent and visible from across a yard, so the setting has to be right before anything touches the surface. Mosaic tile follows the same calibration matched to its material, whether glass or porcelain.
Natural stone varies in porosity within a single piece. Cut stone, flagstone and stacked stone each get a different pressure based on how porous the stone is.
Porcelain traps calcium in textured patterns and grout channels. The pressure that cleans the raised tile face can skip the grout if it is not adjusted for both.
Every surface needs a different media and a different pressure.
Finest media, lowest pressure. Scratches on glass are permanent, so this surface gets the gentlest setting we run.
Cut stone, flagstone and stacked stone. Pressure matched to how porous the stone is, so nothing etches.
Textured patterns and grout lines trap calcium. We match the setting to the glaze and clean both in one pass.
More Than a Thousand Pools Restored
We have cleaned light seasonal buildup on two-year-old glass and original tile on pools that had not been touched in over a decade. Very few conditions at this point are new to us.
We will also tell you when tile has been permanently etched or scratched by a previous cleaning. That kind of damage is in the surface and no method reverses it. We would rather give you that information at the estimate than after a crew has driven out.

San Diego County’s water supply tests between 216 and 284 parts per million of total hardness, according to the City of San Diego’s annual drinking water quality report. The USGS classifies anything above 180 ppm as very hard.
Coastal pools from La Jolla down to Coronado add salt air on top of the mineral load. Inland pools in Poway, Escondido and Rancho Bernardo run warmer through the summer, which drives faster evaporation and heavier deposits.

Restoration, Not Weekly Service
No. We are a tile and stone restoration company. Chemical balancing, pump repair and weekly service are not ours. If that is what your pool needs, a full-service pool company is the better fit and we are happy to point you toward one.
Call us when the surface itself is the problem. A white or gray band along the waterline, stone that has lost its color, or grout that stays dingy after brushing are restoration jobs.
